If you have childcare commitments or are conscious of work-life balance, you can accept assignments that fit within your own available hours, the length of your work day, and where you work. Of course, you can also land a freelance assignment that is 9 – 5, Monday to Friday (but at a higher income). Some contract assignments have some really good longevity too. You could be working on one for years, if you and the client are both happy to continue. It’s up to you!
