We are working on behalf of a business on the verge of a huge transformation from a classical retailer of electronic products to a fully online marketplace with big ambitions to move their business model from b2c to b2b, already serving businesses such as Bosch, BMW & Mercedes offering over 10m items!
At the moment, we are looking for top performers in UI/UX. Ideally, a person experienced in web platforms (ideally some form of a marketplace or eCommerce) to head up and drive our growing UI/UX Team.
The main responsibilities would be;
- Overseeing a team of 4 people and being responsible for Coaching & Mentoring current designers and part of the Product Leadership Team
- Work closely with CTO & Director of UX to oversee optimal use of resources across the cross-functional teams, monitor & improve performance & set best practice definitions
- Crafting innovative UI/UX strategies to enhance our digital offerings continually. You'll spearhead the coordination and execution of user tests, ensuring our products meet and exceed user expectations
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders across various business units, you'll drive ongoing improvements and evolution within our domains. Prioritising the growth and well-being of our UX/UI team, you'll champion their personal and professional development.
The team works on projects that incorporate a very open culture, short release cycles, continuous delivery as well as valuing high quality.
The basic requirements are as follows;
- Demonstrate several years of hands-on experience in UI/UX, with initial exposure to team management/leadership, ideally with an e-commerce or marketplace product or platform
- Ability to coach, lead and mentor other designers
- Rise to the challenge of meeting ambitious deadlines while consistently delivering top-tier results.
- Showcase expertise in conducting thorough research for software product development, integrating findings seamlessly into the development pipeline.
- Team spirit and good communication abilities
- Fluent English, German would be an advantage
- Permanent employment basis, full-time in Bavaria with flexible home office options
